Voice Coach App Reviews

Incomplete.

Well, I thought it was too much of a promise and propaganda to a non-practical app to use. Unless they change it and make the interface more friendly, I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. And the warm ups and exercises should be a lot more complete, with just the instrument sound for you to follow as described. It has potential, but unless they change it itll just be what it is - an incomplete app.

It doesnt work

I want my money back! The app doesnt work!

Stole

Are you kidding me? This is a joke! I want my money back, too.

Great app for my daily practice but...

One thing that will be my five star is that I need the app be able to keep running when my Iphone screen is off, because I need warm up during a walking or keeping the Iphone over a table etc. But just because it works only with the screen on, my battery over too fast and the display timer off automatically turn off the app. Can you fix it on a newer update?

This app does not work at all

No sound comes out of the iPhone 6 Plus. Want my money back!

Awesome app

Love the fact that I can adjust the pitch! Excellent idea. Big fan of your products.

Good but could be better

Not really worth the 4 bucks but it can be with some more added features. I am a avid user of singing success CDs and they are phenomenal. We need more warm up and exercises.

Amazing app

I love this app very helpful for any type of singer. Gives users a chance to vocalize on the go.

This is total garbage

Dont get this app, its a complete waste of money. I was expecting to see a list of vocal exercises but instead theres just some text telling you to say mum mum mum mum and stuff like that. It has absolutely no value and I feel robbed of $4 dollars. DO NOT DOWNLOAD.

Garbage

The positive reviewers must know the programmer, because this is a complete waste of money. It is the worst app Ive downloaded. Doesnt work. Doesnt do what is advertised. And it costs a premium. Do not download! You are better off just warming up on your own. Save your cash. I hate getting ripped off so much, and that is how I feel. Im a professional singer and tech fanboy.

Bought by mistake but..

But it feels like a good lesson with good examples. Way cheaper than a vocal coach. (I got it confused with another app I had tried to download previously but was too big and needed wifi) Please get rid of the annoying daily message that is sent each evening. I paired this with Erol singers studio and am pretty happy with the combination.

Super!

Thanks, guys! Everything you need to warm-up and practice! So nice to do that in car, using playlist. 2 things to improve. Please add a first chord in scales, because its much harder to be in time without. Maybe, thats because of a second thing - tempo button is not informative. I need to touch it many times to match desired speed and still there is no indicator to check rather its fastest or not.

Update is needed

When are you gonna update the program to iOS 8?

No sound...

No sound on iPad2

extremely valuable

I find this app to be extremely valuable, if only to be able to do daily warm-ups wherever I am, but also for the variety of exercises that extend range and flexibility. The exercise descriptions help keep me on track, and with the global range setting, I always know Im going to be singing within my range.

Awesome

Brett Manning rocks. He has really helped me with my singing. When Im 15 Im gonna try out 4 American idol. Thx Brett

A bit disappointed

I am a huge fan of the singing success programs. As soon as I saw that they made an app, I got it without hesitation. With that being said, this app has a lot of unfulfilled potential. The interface is fancy, But not exactly optimal for practicing with. Tapping tempo out is cool, but being able to manually choose a tempo (sliding bar or entering number) would be easier. Being able to choose scales with the few exercises would be nice too. Good start to a brand new app, but I hope they continue to improve on it, given its price.

A brilliant adjunct

This is a brilliant little app that would seem to serve best as an adjunct to Mr. Mannings courses. (As he himself said in "Mastering Mix," the discussions about the exercises are as important as the exercises themselves.) It is a great way to create a custom tailored set of vocal exercises to practice and/or warm-up before an engagement. Knowing your own vocal range and needs, you can choose exercises that make the most of whatever time you have before a gig, or on the road. * But for those new to or unfamiliar with their voice and/or Mannings methods, I would strongly suggest that an update would include predefined playlists of different lengths to help the newbie focus on the work and not the app itself. * Adding exercises to a playlist is not difficult, but the interface to do so could be made easier/quicker. * Modifying settings for individual playlist entries (and playlist names) does not yet seem to be supported. * I agree completely with what has already been said of the other areas of the interfaces design. * being able to save tempo and low-high notes for specific exercises saved in your Playlist would be a huge plus. * The recorded voice could use some de-hissing/noising * The recorded examples have some wavering in their note accuracy. (This could use the same polish that "Mastering Mix" has compared to the original "Singing Success.") If you are considering this app, yes in my opinion it is well worth the money even early in its maturity as an application. Also, I can not highly enough recommend Mannings technique, art, and science behind both "Singing Success" and "Mastering Mix." 20 years ago, I stopped singing. I had been accepted into a prominent music school, but couldnt afford to attend. Life pressures had kept me from singing since. On the edge of "midlife," and remembering the joy I had felt while singing, I researched online vocal courses in minute detail; finally choosing "Singing Success," (and later, "Mastering Mix"). The products have far exceeded my already high expectations. When I purchased "Singing Success" nine months ago, Id have been happy simply being able to get back into my head voice. Now, I can hardly believe that I am singing with the first sopranos in the two professional choral ensembles of which I am now a part. If you follow through with the work, I can only imagine that you too will experience similar success with your own voice.

Disappointed

Im a big fan of Brett Manning and love the idea of this app. It has the right elements but the interface is not very intuitive and its very buggy and sort if crowded. It needs to be simple to use since im assuming lots of people will use this in there car as they drive. Sometimes it plays audio sometimes it does not. Please stop the message reminder that goes off at 11 pm every night when Im trying to go to bed?? But I am looking forward to something better in the future... Please!

Solid vocal app with room for improvements.

Ive lately become a huge fan and user of Brett Mannings video lessons & website. The app doesnt replace you, your brain & your keyboard but its great for car and on the go practice. Each exercise sequence really can be turned into all kinds of exercises, its nice to have that piano going thru the keys & melodic sequences for you. The user interface needs some work(though Ill admit I havent used it more than a few times yet). On the main page way too much dead space is created by having Bretts superb promo photo taking up most of the screen. Looking good Brett but all that space could be put to better use(just move the photo to the info section &/or simply use a much smaller, out of the way headshot. At the moment thats my only negative, the convoluted and hard to see user interface with buttons to different sections randomly placed. Im less concerned about this but the exercise rhythms and time signatures seem to be a little weird at times(mainly when changing thru the keys), a click would be nice with the ability to add it in or take it away. Or at least more rhythmic cues between sequences while ascending or defending through keys. Maybe a solid block chord at each down beat going into the next key. Hopefully with each update comes new exercises and maybe new piano performances for the current ones. Love this app though, already nice and soooo much potential. Great job Brett.
